Everything about "The Applebee's problem" is resolved after a couple of phone calls yesterday. The $270 fine is completely waived, and the restaurant has agreed to pay all the other associated costs. They'll also throw in three $50 gift certificates for our inconvenience.

yay . . . assertiveness is good! A quality I sorely lack.
