This is very minor compared to some of the stories in here but I figured I'd share anyway. I just sent an e-mail to ConAir customer service regarding one of their products I purchased. For those that don't know ConAir is a company that manufactures haircare products (blowdryers, flat irons, curling irons, hair brushes, etc).

I recently purchased a ConairPro 8mm concentrator nozzle from Sally's Beauty Supply to use with my ConairPro Silverbird hair dryer when the nozzle for that one got lost. I am very disappointed with this product, it is supposedly a "universal fit" but continuously pops off the hair dryer while I'm blow drying my hair (usually hitting me in the head or face) and I also noticed it began to melt! If it's to be used with a blow dryer which will presumably get hot, why is it melting? It's not as though I blow dry my hair an unusually long time either. I haven't found any other options short of buying another Silverbird hair dryer to get another nozzle and that's obviously not what I want to do. I was hoping something you advertised as "universal fit" would work with one of your own products but that's proven not to be true. Please let me know what recourse I have.

Like I said, not the worst service in the world but it's definitely annoying. =/

EDIT: Here is Conair's reply

Dear Conair Consumer,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your concentrator. Because of the
design of the newer dryers, the universal ones will only fit most units
with a straight barrel. We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to call
us at 800-528-9384 Ext. 5000. We can be reached Monday through Friday
between the hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. Any representative will be
happy to assist you.

Thank you for your continued interest in Conair Products.

Respectfully,

They didn't really address the fact that their product MELTS, which I think is kind of funny and also, I find it ridiculous that it doesn't work with one of their own hair dryers. I could understand if it was a different brand, but geez...so yeah that didn't really help much.
