Near the end of the night, we ask for our bill. The waitress then informs us that she stuck us on the same tab as the table of friends that are having the birthday celebration. We tell her that we aren't with them. She says that there isn't anything we can do and that it is our fault for not requesting a separate tab from the people that we weren't even sitting with! So, Erin and I go to the manager to not only tell her about the billing, but tell her how rude this girl is. The manager tells us that the waitress was completely right and that "I should know what I drank" like I was some kind of stupid lush.(I only had 2 drinks) I told her that I didn't see that as fair, even though I know what I drank. I also told her that the waitress was incredibly rude as well. She tells me to deal with it and that there is no way she can give me a separate bill. Erin and I go back to the table and figure out the tab with the party people. Just as we give them the money, the waitress comes up and hands us a separte bill. We notice a hand written dollar amount added in as well. When we ask her, she tells me that it's her automatic 15% tip. Now typically in those restaurants, you only figure in the automatic tip for parties of 6 or larger. I am guessing that she knew that if she was going to be tipped at all, it certainly would not have been 15%. At that point we were all so fed up that we just paid her and left. I don't ever want to go to that restaurant again. Actually, the restaurant side is quite nice, it's the lounge that I will never go to again.
