I get home and we have three beef grilled stuft burritos. I happened to order the steak because although I like beef in general, the beef grilled stuft burritos don't sit well when I eat them. So I go to unwrap my burrito and it's beef, not steak. And I still paid a dollar more ($3.19 instead of $2.19) since the steak one's more expensive. After a while of getting orders wrong, you just have to call and say something -- I don't think I should have to unwrap EVERY burrito to be SURE they're always right on every visit.
Anyway, so I call the store to let them know that they got the order wrong and I paid the extra money, but didn't get what I wanted. The girl on the other end was incredibly snotty and I asked to speak to the manager -- she literally DROPPED the phone and I could hear it clanging against the counter right in my ear. The so-called manager gets on (and I question if she was the manager, actually) and I explain what happened. She says, "But I KNOW they put a steak one in there."
I replied, "Um...they're all beef. I bit into mine and it's beef, too. There is no steak burrito in there." She countered again, refuting what I was saying.
I said, "Are you calling me a liar? I'm telling you that I'm looking at them and they're ALL beef. NO steak in any of them."
She responds, "Yes, I'm calling you a liar!" I was speechless for a second! I just could NOT believe it.
After having my blood pressure rise over this -- a stupid burrito, at that! -- I asked for the number to the store's head office. Now mind you, I don't WANT a replacement burrito or any damn thing as I'll probably NEVER eat there again -- but I was extremely pissed off over being called a flat-out liar. Ironically, THEY are thieves because they took more of my money and didn't deliver what I paid extra for if they want to get technical about it. Me, a liar? How about YOU a thief and then telling ME I'm lying over a stupid burrito!!!
All I wanted was a grilled steak stuft burrito. How hard is that? It's nearly midnight and I'm the only car in the drive-thru and you STILL get the order wrong?!
Don't call me a liar, you Taco Bell (expletive deleted)...I would have taken an "I'm sorry we messed up the order," but instead I get this kind of treatment -- a phone clanging in my ear, smirky smart-aleck attitude and then being called a liar when I'm looking at beef inside the tortilla, NOT steak.
In the scheme of things, it's a small trivial matter. However, it's the principle that she called me a liar and I was treated so rudely as a customer. There's NO sense in that. I guess in the end they got the extra money for nothing and all I got was verbal abuse!
