SPEAKER: "Welcome to KFC, our special today is [whatever it was], how can I help you?"
ME: "We'd like two #1 meals, please."
SPEAKER: "We're out of chicken."
{WHAT???"}
ME: "I'm sorry?"
SPEAKER: "We're out of chicken. The only thing we have right now is chicken pot pies and coleslaw."
ME: "Does the 'C' in your name stand for 'chicken?'" (OK, I didn't really say that, but I wanted to!)
ME: "Oh, OK, then. Never mind."
SPEAKER: "Sorry. Thank you!!"
Now why, oh why would they run out of their primary product? Who's managing that place??
(I will, however, give some points for telling us that BEFORE we ordered, rather than subbing it with something else without authorization, as other places have done.)
