That's where things started to go downhill. She started on about how they were working in the area, near some city in Kansas. Well that's nice, but I live in Arkansas. So I asked her if she meant Arkansas, and she started to get irritated with me and insist that work in Kansas was local to me in Arkansas. She kept insisting this, and would not get past it. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that she couldn't transfer and she would have to have the manager call me back. I asked if it was possible to hold if he wasn't available, and she told me no, that she had to disconnect the call because other people were waiting. When I asked the supervisor's name so I knew who would be calling me, she transferred me to customer service without a word. Customer service was able to put me through to a supervisor right away.
This supervisor (I can't remember the name, although I have it written down at home) explained that they were working in Northwest Arkansas and that digital service wasn't available at this time. He let us know that if we could hook the cable from the wall directly into the TV, bypassing the cable boxes, that we could get an analog signal. The picture wouldn't be as clear, but it was something. He said the problem with digital should be resolved within a couple of hours.
This morning I woke up to no digital cable still. My SO has the day off work, so he called them and this time got a completely different story. According to the reps this time, there was no work being done in the area, and there wasn't any done over the weekend at all. They said we needed to schedule a time for someone to come out, and they could have someone out between 8am and 10am. At 11am, he called Cox again, wondering if the tech had gotten delayed. They then informed him that there was no way they could get someone out there today, and the soonest they could get someone out here would be on the 31st, 8 days from now.
Right now he is waiting for a supervisor to call him back to find out why we have been lied to on more than one occasion. He is also in the process of calling satellite providers to find out if we can get service through them and how much would it be.
I do believe I hate Cox Cable
