Pizza Hut

Since working in the retail industry, I've become more tolerant of irritated cashiers and disgruntled waitresses. But, when really bad service happens, I get extremely pissed.

Here's a letter to Pizza Hut corporate. All they have on their website is a scrawny little form with a comment box only allowed to hold 520 characters. Any of you know their actual customer service email address? It's not posted anywhere visable on the website...that I can see anyway. I'm still too pissed to call.

Tonight, at your Clanton Alabama store, my boyfriend and I received the worst service we've ever received before...from anywhere. At approximately 5:45pm, my boyfriend, Davy, called the store for a delivery. After getting through after 10 rings, he was placed on hold for a while. He finally ordered (1 medium thin-crust meat lovers, 1 medium pan-crust sausage & mushroom, and cinnastix), and was told they were out of thin crust, which is understandable. He was given an estimated delivery time of one hour and 20 minutes.

At 7:30pm, he calls the store, wanting to know where our order was. After rudely being told to "hold on!" , he listened to background noise for 10 minutes after having the phone slammed down onto the counter. He finally got someone to check the order. Adam, an associate answering the phone, told him to give them 20 minutes because it was on its way. So, instead of being well over an hour and a half , the delivery time was going to be over 2 hours. Adam then told him to call back when the delivery person got here and he would tell them to give us a 45% discount. Incidentally, we ordered pizza a couple of months ago and Adam was quite rude with the "hold on!"s and slamming the phone down on the counter. Davy talked to a manager about it and she wasn't concerned, saying that they've never had a problem with him before, he just had to go and get her for something.

25 minutes later and we still had no food. Davy calls back and immediately gets the manager. She claims that the delivery driver delivered the pizza to the wrong house and to give them 20 minutes and it'll be here, free of charge. He tells them that he'll just go and pick it up since it's about 2 miles away from our house anyway.

He got to the store and was ignored by the person working the counter. Then, the woman working the counter receives a personal call on her cell phone and continues to ignore him. He finally gives her the information and gets the food...and discovers that SHE was the manager on duty! We ate 3 hours after he had placed the order.

This is absolutely horrible service. They weren't busy when he went in to get the food that was supposed to have been delivered an hour and a half earlier. The staff didn't seem too concerned over their mistakes. I won't say that we'll never step foot in there again, but we will be telling our friends and their friends about the absolutely horrible service we've received.

Yeah, I know that we live only 2-3 miles away. But, we're in the country. We didn't want to get out of the house. We were wanting to use their delivery service. Hell, they give anyone that doesn't live in a 5 mile radius a hard time anyway.

So that's my story.
