I called in two refills the day before I was to pick them up, and even arrived three hours after they were to be filled so I could be sure they would be ready...I have an extremely busy schedule during the week and time is of the essence (I have to be in and out)...Now I know that the retail/customer service industry is a bitch to deal with, especially during this time of year (again why I made sure to call things in ahead of time and arrive late on purpose), but why was it my health they put in danger??? Blood pressure medication prescribed in a daily dose is an important thing...I had to do without it, and thus take the risk of my blood pressure spiking and my ending up in the ER with a stroke or heart attack...I'm nowhere near a clogged artery waiting to burst blood pressure status and otherwise very healthy, but I'm on a new medication on the market that has had reports of spiking when doses are skipped...
M= Me of course ;D
PD= Pharmacy Drone
M= Hi I'm here to pick up two refills for ------
PD= Sure one second lemme get those for you
M= *waits patiently as the growing line builds behind me*
PD= Oh I'm sorry, um, it looks like it never got filled, you can come back after 5pm and we'll have it for you by then...
M= Is there any way I could get it filled now??? I'm on my way into work right now, and I actually called it in yesterday morning to be ready today by 11am...I mean c'mon it's 2pm, it's three hours after that time...No worries, if you can just refill it now I can hang like twenty minutes so if you need some time thats fine...
PD= Wel see sir I'm sorry but we can't do that because there's customers ahead of you in line now we are currently filling prescription for...
M= No I understand that which is why I actually called in yesterday to have it ready by now...So you see, mine should have been ready...If you wouldn't mind checking the computer, you'll see my order was placed yesterday that technically puts the mistake you guys made ahead of these walk-in customers...
PD= Um, no sir it doesn't, these people have waited in line already and...
M= And I called in "yesterday", what part of this are you not understanding??? *I'm really trying to be a nice customer, but it's getting harder by the minute, and this woman is making my brain hurt now*
PD= No sir I do understand that, but you have to realize our walk in customers come first...
M= So what you're really saying is, the automated refill system you have is ignored???
PD= What do you mean???
M= Ignored??? It means you pay no attention to it??? *can she really be this dumb* You guys actually pay no mind to the automated system you have that customers use to call in their refills???
PD= No sir we do check the messages and refill everything called in, I have no idea why yours wasn't done, but I was able to see you did call in yesterday and yes it was ready to be done by 11am...
M= And you can't fill it now and correct your mistake because???....... *wait for it, wait for it*
PD= Because sir we have customers ahead of you...
M= *literally smacks forehead*...Man are you aware of what your computer says about the side effects of this medication??? Skipping doses can cause a spike in blood pressure when the piull has been taken over a period of time...I'm not in the mood to gamble with my health okay, and I'm just about running late for a job I really need to stay alive for so can we please get this filled now??? Again, I can wait a few minutes thats not a problem at all...
PD= No sir see....*repeats mantra about customers being ahead of me*
Basically thats where I turned and walked out...I picked up my refills from a different pharmacy this evening...Yes this evening because I had to become one of the walk in customers and it wasn't my regular pharmacy in which I could conveniently call in my prescriptions in ahead of time...I am currently experiencing chest pains and palpitations (which I suspect are due to the fact that I went a day and a half without these meds)...Oh yeah all thanks to Wrong-Aid...
