We were at a restaurant and a pregnant lady was serving as a waitress. I dont know how pregnant she was, but you could definitely see her stomach protruding...especially because it was mostly uncovered. This is a supposedly nice Italian restaurant and her stomach was hanging out-many inches of it. And she was handling food. And sometimes when she leaned to set food down, her stomach hung on the table.
We were like...seriously grossed out. Someone complained. They made her pull her shirt down and then I didnt see her after that. And some people were angry that people complained because OMG SHE IS PREGNANT!!!BABBIY!!!!!
Now I dont think she should lose her job...but to me thats gross. Really gross. In a restaurant, touching food and tables. I think the manager or managers SHOULD have told her to pull down her shirt or put a more appropriate one on.
So what do you think? Bad service? Should she be reprimanded? Should someone have complained? Or are we being too squeamish?
EDIT-I do not hate pregnant people! I do not hate kids! I think that pregnant people have the right to work! My problem is specifically with the bare body parts rubbing on tables, as well as just general dress code. Its a nice restaurant...not Hooters. If a skinny person was wearing a belly shirt I would probably do a double take as well! (Oh and I clearly stated she should NOT lose her job! Read people read!)
