This is a school, learn to read!

Undear registrar,
About this time last week, I walked into your office with a letter in hand. This letter was a request for two transcripts, containing all the pertinent information, such as name and date of graduation. Today in the mail the transcripts arrived. Sounds like all is well, right? Oh, so very, very wrong.
The request was from MY MOTHER. The information included HER name in two different places, HER date of graduation, and HER signature. When I handed this letter to you last week, you asked if I needed it before graduation. I blinked at you and explained it was for MY MOTHER not for me(Edit: a request for HER grades, not mine.). You, yes you, looked down at the letter, saw what I was talking about, and even laughed it off. As I recall, there was even a bit of conversation regarding the fact that mom is thinking of going back to school. Hell, the envelope the transcripts came in was even addressed to mom, not to me.
Why am I so furious about this? Besides inconveniencing my mom (yeah, other schools have deadlines too!), you violated my privacy and your own policy. In fact, you technically violated a federal law. See The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, and I quote, "FERPA gives parents certain rights with respect to their children's education records. These rights transfer to the student when he or she reaches the age of 18 or attends a College. Students to whom the rights have transferred are "eligible students." "
I am an adult. I am well over the age of 18. I am attending a college. I did NOT give you permission to release my grades, and none of the conditions under which you could in fact release them without my permission apply.
I might have been willing to write this off as an honest mistake, if it were not for your constant demonstrations of total incompetence as of late. In addition, be glad I do not mind that my parents know what my grades are like. It's the least I can do since I live under their roof. However, I will be in your office tomorrow, and you had better behave yourself, or you will NOT like the results.
No love whatsoever,
An extremely ticked off student
