Apple iPod

I got my iPod on July 5th. Within 7 days, I had used my "one free call to tech-support." Yes, they charge for tech support. Which I find very rediculous. It's like they know that their product is so faulty that they want to take advantage of it for money. My dad LOVES apple products because he thinks they're more reliable. Anyways, the problem with the iPod, which I ordered directly from Apple.com was that the software was over a year out of date. You'd think they'd send me the most recent software, but apparently not. Less than a month after opening it, the iPod had to be sent back for repairs. It came back today. IT'S STILL BROKEN! THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE!!!!!!!!! My father used his apple id to buy it, and he won't tell me the password. So, I am unable to access what they "did" to "repair" it. I also can't download new iPod software either, in the hopes that it won't work because they've gotten a new one in the past month. I cannot make my own apple id because it requires a credit/debit/checking account or card, none of which I have. When my dad comes back, I will be sending it yet again back to the company, this time for good. Maybe I'll get a Dell DJ instead, even though they're bigger. Or just not get anything at all. I don't need it anymore.

[Edit: it is a pink iPod mini, if this matters.]

[Edit again: Apparently, service was "denied." I have no idea why. Maybe the nature of the problem... or that I bought a refurbished one. Or maybe because Apple just sucks the balls of every male on the planet.]
