Ebay is teh d3v1L

I use ebay if I can't find the item in an online store.

I was searching for The Ultimate Versus, 2 disc edition.


I found it and bought it off of buy it now. from an ebay seller. let's call her DVDM. I get the item very fast.. I paid right after buying it.. I open it up and i hear.. something is loose inside. I open it up and disc 2 the disc I need, being it has all the nice special features in it, thus the reason I bought it in the first place is loose and has severe scratches on the back. So I start trying to see if it will work. I need it to work on the dvd player on the computer. as I do not have ready use to the normal DVD player hooked up to the main TV. * my father watches TV once he gets home.. and I enjoy making screencaps for my personal use... and for roleplay games.

Computer 1 says : DVD is damaged or unreadable. Please repair the disc and try again.

So I go and grab our Cd-DVD repair kit and do everything I have to do to fix it.

Computer 1 says: DVD is damaged or unreadable. Please repair the disc and try again.
Computer 2 says: *does not even SEE the disc. according to it there is No disc in the drive*
Playstation 2 says : *does not see the disc*
DVDplayer on main TV: *plays it just fine*

I am thinking. 'ok no this will not do.'. So the following emails start....

Me: I have received the movie. the disc 2 is damaged and cannot play.
i bought this movie for 2 discs. I would like a replacement disc. If i cannot get this one to work. I will not be leaving feedback until this matter is solved.

Me: The disc 2 will play in the normal DVD player, but does not play on the PowerDVD player in the computer it says the disc is damaged. I am unsure what to do right now. we have tried to repair the disc with a repair kit... it has not fixed the disc as far as the computer is concerned. it arrived to us loose in it's package.
a reply would be greatly appreciated.

DVDM: if a disc is damaged it wont play on any player..there is nothing to fix..it plays in the normal player...

Me: Disc 1 works. Disc 2 is damaged to a point where, the Playstaion2, and 2 dvd players on 2 different computers are unable to read it. the movie arrived to me with the disc 2 loose and with multiple scratches on it. we attempted to fix it with a cd repair kit. it still does not work.
I am asking for a replacement disc 2 for ultimate Versus, 2 disc set. or an exchange of the exact same type, 2 disc ultimate versus 2 disc set movie. with un damaged discs. no feedback will be given, until this is resolved.
I'm sorry, but i am very happy with how quickly the movie came. i just wish it worked. and it is not my computers / dvds players. my father saw the disc before i tried to play it. it had many scratches on it. and these scratches or something happened in transit that damaged the disc to the point where no computer and only 1 dvd player in our household can read the disc.
I am asking for a replacement.

DVDM: send the item back..

Me: Will I be getting a replacement or a refund?
I would like to know, what you plan to do about this.

Me: Oh yea. I need your address

(At this point I KNEW something was up. the short answers via email.... and the fact I found another ebay seller with a higher rating that sold the DVD. So I bought the DVD again via the other seller. and asked ebay for DVDM's contact info. So I could call her and get this settled faster - I called between noon and 8 p.m. a few times. No one ever answered the phone}

Me:I would like a FULL refund to the paypal account I paid under.. You WILL receive the DVD back... once the money is in the account. you will still receive a positive feedback. because this was an issue due to how it was mailed and an unforeseeable accident.

DVDM: i give refunds with no problem.. i give refunds if people just don't like a movie.. i never argue with customers.. just look at my feedback and u will see that im honest..
you have to return your defective item to get a refund.this is not negotiable. because i will return it to my supplier and also get credit.. thank you for your cooperation..

Me: Thank you. I'll send it right away.. and trust me this has nothing to do with the movie. I am a huge fan of the movie. I had searched for this version for awhile. And disappointed it came to me damaged.
just one BIG problem.
I need your address. as soon as I get it. the DVD will be mailed to you via USPS Piority Mail. in a packing box.

DVDM: *address*

Me: The DVD has been mailed via USPS Piority Mail. It is insured and once you receive it. I would like to know, and the refund to be given.

I check ebay to see what is the status of other items I have bought. Both sellers let's call them DVDmark and DVDS. DVDS answers my message and he has mailed out the DVD already. the other 2 movies I wanted have just been mailed out by DVDmark. oh yes DVDS has already left positive feedback. ^_^ Good sellers the best kind.

I go to see DVDM's status....... "this seller is no longer registered on ebay". My mind screams.. 'oh no. that's not good.' Advice from friends leaves me to file a complaint with paypal.

Buyer's Comments: The DVD Arrived to me badly packaged- which resulted in the DVD's Disc 2 being damaged. After talking via Email. I was given an address to return the DVD too for a full refund. I have mailed out the DVD today. And I have noticed that this seller is no longer a registered Ebay seller. I have all email exchanges between me and the seller. I am personally worried that I will not receive my refund after seeing the seller cancel their ebay account. The DVD Arrived to me badly packaged- which resulted in the DVD's Disc 2 being damaged. I attempted to repair the disc with a standard disc repair system, But the damage was too deep and only 1 DVD player would play the DVD's disc 2. I attempted to play it on a Playstation2, and 2 different computers with DVD players. they all couldn't see the DVD and one of the computers stated it was Damaged. Also on the only DVD player that could play it, It was obvious there where problems the images would jump and freeze. After talking via Email. I was given an address to return the DVD too for a full refund. I have mailed out the DVD today. And I have noticed that this seller is no longer a registered Ebay seller. how is this bad service?
1. short answers
2. you have been told to call the buyer. you don't
3. they call you.. you don't answer
4. after their last email. you end your ebay account.
5. you havn't emailed them, or spoken to paypal since.
6. you send a DVD in an OVERSIZED floopy barely have any bubblewrap- bubble mailer. via DHL... I don't mind other mail shippers. I just feel safest with UPS or USPS. as I have NEVER had ANY troubles with them.

I better get my damned refund...




july 10- Refunded money. No comment from seller / no emails from seller to answer why they did not answer their phone - did not answer my queastions - cancaled their ebay account.

But I got the money back ^_^
