The subway by my work is open until 10 every day... including Sundays. Sunday night I headed over at about a quarter to 9... an hour and fifteen minutes until closing. I was working from 6pm-2:30am so this was when I got to take my lunch.
I walked in.. was completely ignored by the employee standing by the door. No biggie. I walked over to the counter where no one was to be found... waited a few... then the guy came out from the back. It was at this point that he informed me that they had no bread.
Wait. Subway claims that they freshly bake their own bread. I could understand not making a bunch more half an hour before the shop closed if it wasn't a busy night (which it wasn't)... but there was still over an hour before they got to close up. I looked right at him... repeated what he just said to me "you guys have no bread whatsoever? I am not really picky on bread types" he assured me they were out of bread... so I walked out and went to KFC.
Seriously... I know they serve salads and wraps too... but I don't think it's unreasonable for subway to have bread available when they are nowhere near closing.
