I received a letter today from USPS "In accordance with postal regulations in the International Mail Manual under Special Services Indemnity Limit regarless of the declared value of a registered item the maximum amount of indemnity payable for loss, damage or rifling in 2012 is $47.33. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this matter has caused you. You will receive payment under separate cover."

I paid $25 to ship the package. $24 in ebay and paypal fees. I'm losing $2.67 and almost $150 in cards on this.

I need a drink. But I don't drink. =(

Edited to add:
I posted about this on my facebook and an ever so helpful high school friend who is a postal carrier posted "way to bash the post office." Ugh. Seriously?
