On 11/25, I purchased a Stick-It iPad joystick for my cousin for Christmas. I paid $5.99 and shipping was free, so I thought I was getting a pretty good deal. According to eBay the seller has a 99.2% positive rating and the item was new. I've had good luck with eBay before because I'm pretty anal retentive about checking seller ratings.
I got the package today. In fact, my boyfriend just grabbed it about 20 minutes ago out of the mailbox. It was sent in a plastic sleeve, so I assumed it was just the joystick and a receipt (since it's made of aluminum and pretty durable), and I would have been fine with that.

I contacted the seller to let him know about the packaging issue and also that I don't have a way to test to see if the product was damaged because I don't have an iPad myself.
1. Are there any other steps I should take?
2. Who do you think is to blame on this one - USPS or the seller?
