After all that...the chair was the wrong color.
They did not offer any kind of discount or compensation - merely asked if we'd like to keep the wrong chair while they ordered the correct color AGAIN. (It wasn't the salesman's fault at all - he filled out the paperwork correctly, color and all. Something got screwed up at the warehouse.) We took a refund on our deposit and walked. And I'm drafting a letter to corporate tonight - I just need to find an address to send it to.
What a mess.
