IT NEVER ENDS.

So hey, remember this post I made bitching about Mom's oncologist being useless and nearly getting her booted off her insurance and all that happy crap?

New guy isn't much better.  To the point that she dumped him after two visits.

First visit was apparently fine- I was not there to confirm or deny, since our schedules conflicted.  Second appointment, just a follow-up dealie this past Friday, I went along.  Almost didn't, but glad I did because I would never believe this if I hadn't been there.

I can't even figure out how to sum it up because it was so incredibly surreal.  I don't know if he was trying to impress me since I'm The Man Of The Family or some shit, or if he's just an asshole,  or if he was on drugs or something because this guy was nuts.  He walks in and begins a tirade talking about how somehow it's Mom's fault she has cancer, and she's drinking the wrong kind of water and the body totally makes cancer cells all the time but it's her fault for drinking shitty water (which is bull, we've had our well tested a couple times over the years and it's perfectly good).  And then he segues into a completely patronizing spiel about how he's going to take care of her and she won't have to worry about a thing.

This whole time, she's been trying to ask about her medications, how she can stop her ankles from swelling, how she can deal with the joint pain and he won't let her get a word in edgewise.

Then he leaves mid-sentence and doesn't come back, leaving us to sit and wait and wonder what the hell just happened until a nurse comes in to usher us back to the reception area.

Reading this, it sounds completely unbelievable.  I have no idea how to react to this, other than what we did immediately after- go to the cancer center and tell them what happened, then schedule an appointment with the oncologist she'd wanted in the first place who is pretty overloaded already, but at the very least treats his patients like they have a brain and asks them questions instead of talking over them.

Apparently we're not the only people to have issues with him- the woman Mom was sitting beside today while she got chemo commiserated with her and told her that he'd asked her why she was even getting chemo in the first place and refused to bring her chart up on the computer for some stupid reason.

I don't even know.  This guy is dangerous, if you ask me.  Why the hell did they hire him on, even temporarily?  I'm just.  I don't.  This is.  I wasn't even sure I should post this because it's that goddamn bizarre.

What the hell?
