sucky comment at dr's office.

On Tuesday, I went to see my GP regarding some severe GI problems that I had been having for the last three weeks.

When my name was called, I went into the exam room, and the medical assistant wanted to know what I was there for. Simple enough.

I told her that my stomach had been hurting every day for the last three weeks, and I was having a difficult time keeping liquids and solids down.

Then she asked me my height and weight, so I told her.

"Oh, no wonder you're so skinny!"

That hurt. And usually I don't take things personally, but these last few weeks have been horrible for me, tummy wise.

The actual visit went well. I got a script for the pain, and I have an appointment with the in house Gastroeneterologist.

I just, I don't know. I really don't like it when people make remarks about my weight. Not only that, but stomach issues don't automatically mean you're going to lose weight. Someone I know with a problem similar to mine said that at a clinic, she talked to a woman with severe GI issues that was actually overweight.

I'm guess after a certain point, your body starts to store whatever it can to make up for the fluid and food loss.
