Our deceased cat, Frisky, had diabetes. Since he was a very grumpy cat, it was difficult to give him insulin consistently, and impossible test his blood by ourselves. So, until his blood sugar was regulated, we had to bring him in to test it every month or so.

Our regular vet disappeared from the practice. So, we were forced to make an appointment with a new one. My Mom and I brought him into the exam room, and waited a full thirty minutes to see the vet. By this time, Frisky was very grumpy and just wanted to go home.

When the vet came into the office, she took a look at him, and looked visibly afraid. When she went to draw the blood, he meowed at her loudly. Apparently this was the most horrible thing that could happen to you as a vet, so she called in an orderly to hold him down. We were aware that more strangers touching him would only make his mood worse, so we basically begged her to let us hold him if she needed that sort of assistance, explaining the problem. She was like "Oh, no, it'll be fine".

The orderly proceeded to practically crush Frisky with his hulk arms. Then, when Frisky started yowling and struggling, the vet SLAPPED HIM. Very hard, on his back.  I was so shocked, I just watched as she drew the blood, did something with his chart, and walked away. I'm pretty sure Frisky had a bruise of some type, because he flinched when we tried to pet him in that area.

We went to a different vet after that.

Note: Since this was a couple of years ago, my medical facts might not be exactly right.
