An update.

An update on my post about the not so bright pharmacist.

I ended up calling the Shoppers head office, spoke with someone and they assured me they were following up. I get a phone call today from someone from the store saying he "wanted to talk about one of their pharmacists".

Yea, you can imagine how LESS then pleased I was to find out it was the SAME pharmacist who gave me the wrong information trying to save his own ass.

All he kept repeating was "well these are the resources we have", while I kept repeating "so you agree that giving out incorrect and unsafe information is OKAY because those are the resources you have!?". He didn't apologize once in a convincing manner, and couldn't wrap his brain around why I was so mad.

To add to the story, when I had gone into the store I asked for the sleeping aid that contained the same ingredient as Diclectin, in the states it's branded as Unisom but in Canada it contains a different ingredient. He never once tried to find out what this ingredient was, he just threw a blanket statement over ALL of the sleeping aids and said they were safe.

I'm pissed that I had to spend 15 minutes on the phone listening to someone try to convince me that giving me incorrect information is perfectly okay. Even when I kept stressing that it says DIRECTLY on the product website "DO NOT TAKE WHILE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING UNLESS YOUR PHYSCIAN RECOMMENDS IT". Pretty sure pharmacist =/= doctor.

That's my rant. I don't know what to do from here.
