Okay, but that's just rude.

This morning the weather was pretty bad -- windy, raining a bit. I was waiting for the bus when my phone rang. I answered it and, because of the wind and a mediocre signal, couldn't really hear the woman on the other end of the line. I got into a position where the wind wasn't blowing directly into the phone and said, "I'm sorry, I couldn't really hear you, could you repeat that?"

And the woman screamed down the phone: "THIS. IS. [CLINIC]. CALLING. TO REMIND YOU. OF YOUR. APPOINTMENT. THIS. COMING. WEDNESDAY. WITH. [NAME]."

And then my bus showed up, so I thanked her and hung up. Okay, I know it can be irritating to have to repeat yourself, but that's no reason to be rude about it. I think it is high time I complain about this place's receptionists, because never have I met a ruder bunch of people in the medical field. (This is the latest in a string of minor incidents.)
