There's this local heart foundation store where I live and I dropped in one day to drop off a donation and stopped to browse the selection of new semi-precious stone and charm bracelets that they sell.
One of the ladies who was in charge had this guy following her around and while I didn't pay too much attention, it seemed he was a new worker or something.
A minute or so later I look up and he's there in front of me, then he starts asking my name and if I have a boyfriend and stuff, I told him I was busy.
While I was in there he pestered several other women and me again trying to persuade me to go for a drink with him.
I'd complain but I'm not sure how to present the complaint since the young man was obviously learning disabled, still that doesn't mean it's okay for him to harass female customers in the store. I feel kind of guilty for being bugged by his behaviour even though he was out of line and shouldn't have been allowed to wander around and harass women.
I feel I should complain but at the same time, I'm wondering if they'll give me a hard time because he's obviously learning disabled.
Either way, I went into donate some stuff, stopped to consider buying a nice bracelet and left with my skin crawling, not nice.
ETA: I went in and had quiet words with the manager and it went quite well, she said that she'll call up his carers and get them to have words with him about him pestering female customers. So hopefully he takes heed.
