Pizza Hut Bad Service

A friend and I got together a few days ago just to hang out, write, and watch some stuff together and we decided that we'd order in some pizza for dinner since it was just the two of us. We placed the order, it said it went through, and that we could expect our pizza within the next 35 minutes.

An hour later, no sign of the pizza. So, my friend called the Pizza Hut to see what was up – like if there was a delay or they just couldn't find the house or something. As it turns out, the order hadn't gone through and the guy on the phone was incredibly rude and condescending to her which started to irritate and annoy her and we were offered no apologies at all but that our pizza would be sent out in the next half an hour. Then he hung up.

The pizza did arrive half an hour later, but my friend and I were both still pissed off about the fact that the guy on the phone was incredibly rude and that our order hadn't even processed at all. We did place the order online, so that had to do with it, but if it's broken or something and someone calls to tell you so maybe you should do something about it or at least report it to your manager or something.

Brief Irritating Service from the Hut of Pizza

My friend ordered pizza on Saturday afternoon as a thanks to me and my S.O. for letting him stay at our place over the weekend.  He called in the order when I was on my way home from work and was quoted a 45 minute delivery.  I got home and the three of us found something entertaining to watch on t.v. while we waited for our lunch to get there.  We finished two shows and still no knock at the door.

We decided to wait a little while longer, since it was a Saturday afternoon and it was possible that they might have gotten unexpectedly busy due to two high school graduations happening that day.  At almost the 2-hour mark, my friend is actually dialing the number to the Hut location to find out what the delay is, when finally someone knocks at the door.  It's the pizza!  Hooray!  Said pizza driver did not have a pen so my friend could sign the receipt, so I had to hunt one down so he could sign the credit card slip.  Not one word was mentioned from the driver as to why the pizza was delayed.  Not even an "I'm sorry" for not having a pen.

So, anyway, he signs the receipt and the driver left quickly after taking the receipt.  We get our plates together and pour ourselves some drinks, and open the pizza box.  One of the pizzas was folded on itself.  They were both cool to the touch, and they tasted terrible.  I advised friend to give them a call just to let them know.  I'm not sure if he has yet, but that had to have been the worst pizza I've ever had.

So yeah...brief and irritating suck.

I've read a shocking amount of the bad delivery service on here and have been lucky enough not to experience loads of it lately. However, here are some free tips for the United States Postal Service:

  • If you have two packages for the same house, it's usually a good idea to leave both packages at the house, not take one of them back with you.

  • It also doesn't help if you leave a faulty article number that neither your online website nor the computers of your customer service recognize.

  • In case anyone is wondering, neither package had insurance or anything extra that requires a signature or for me to be home for delivery. On the upside of this annoying service, the woman who helped me on the customer service help line was wonderful! Even after her computer temporarily went down, the article number turned out to be invalid, and some of her information was out of date, she set me up for a redelivery. I'm just hoping that it shows up tomorrow as promised.
