Lied to

Me and my family went out to eat. We got our starters no problem. The problem started when we had to wait an hour and a half for our main course. We didn’t see the waitress who served us our food after that. The manager was milling about instead. After half an hour, my grandma asked us when our food would be ready, and he said he’d go into the kitchen and try to find out. About fifteen-twenty minutes went by and the manager was again pacing the restaurant, but ignoring us. My grandma asked again, when will the food be ready? He glared at her and barked, “It’s being plated up right now!” None of us liked his tone. The real bad service for me was that he’d lied. Because we had to wait 45 minutes for the food to be brought out and come on, it does NOT take food that is being plated ‘right now’ 45 minutes to get from the kitchen to our table. The food wasn't that good, but I think the whole situation left a bit of a bad taste in our mouths, so maybe it was that.

We all went up and complained in the end, to see if we could get at least some sort of refund or compensation but nope, we couldn’t. It’s one restaurant I know that me and my family won’t be eating at again, though.
