Chase sucks

Last week I set up my bill pay for my electric bill to be sent out 9/11/2009 because I knew I got paid that day and sending it and the pay would coincide.
Well it didn't. They took the amount out on the 10th causing 3 over drafts.
I called them up to see why in the hell did it get taken out before and she said it was because I chose to do it that way. Well I know I didn't but not only did they not tell me other than that, they screwed up in almost the same way about a month ago.

I get direct deposit and my deposit and rent check were both on the same day. Guess which one they chose to go through first, you guessed it, rent. I emailed them that time and they took off my fees and now because they did it once for me they refuse to do it again. (Even though it is THEIR error and not mine).
Come Monday I am going and closing my account. I am done with them. When they were WAMU I had no problems with them. Now you can not cash a check UNLESS you have that much already IN your account and my direct deposit (DIRECT,that I have had for the past 5 months) has a hold on it now (WTF).

I think this goes here, since I don't actually work for the bureau yet.

So, early this morning, I made a post to my journal that was simply "Brb, job training~". This is exciting! I love job training with the US Census Bureau, it pays well and isn't hard work (or at least, wasn't last time I did it, early this summer).

This training was supposed to be from 8 AM to 5 PM. You'll notice that I'm posting this before noon. 8|

Insurance guy claims his phone system didn't show he had any messages...yeah..ok.

Anyway...I explain my situation about the car insurance being raised $573 and homeowners' being raised $390 and then the supposed "discounts".

He wasn't too happy. He said he didn't know why the letter told me to call him because they didn't notify him that they were screwing with my premiums. He said to give him 24 hours so he can speak with someone with Pekin and find out how they are justifying the shenanigans they are pulling.

He also said that the whole raising it and then "discounting" it was weird and he's never encountered it before.

While he's waiting to hear from Pekin, he's shopping around for new home and car policies for us. I have to call Chase and tell them to hold up on paying my house insurance premium until we get to the bottom of this.

...whether this is bad_service or customers_suck .

I go to the grocery store around the corner (Weis, for those in the northeast US). I grab 4 or 5 things. I have knees that are fubar, so I'm in a scooter.

There are a total of three check stands open. Two are self-scan, one is staffed. Since I only have 5 items or so, I pick self-scan. One of them has two people ahead of me, one has only one person, who has already scanned half her order.

You'd think that was the right decision, no? But if it were, would I be posting? Collapse )

TL; DR: one of two self-scan lines held up by slow customer, not aided by store clerk.
