I miss Hastings...

I really really really miss Hastings!!!  The one here in our town caved in from the heavy snowfalls that we've been getting.  So we have a Blu-Ray and Hastings was like the ONLY place we could find stuff for a reasonable price.  And every other place we've gone doesn't have their selections :((.  Sad Panda!  

So we decided to rent from Blockbuster aside from the discrepancy we had with them running our card three times for a movie that wasn't even late, the stupid nitwit "lost" it.  Now come to find out that you don't actually get a 2-day rental but one day and a half depending on the time you rent it.  I think it's a stupid policy that movies need to be turned in by noon the day off what a crock of shit!

I'm adding an edit to this since there are those that don't feel this is bad service. 

**Being treated like you're the assholes because a store doesn't do their job to properly tell people about their policies until shit hits the fan isn't very good customer service.  I work in a hotel and I make it a goddamn point to tell people about things they need to know.  But hey you're not inclined to read/reply so you can just move it along.
Aside from that when we did start this whole thing we asked the dum dum that was working who by the way has a "manager" name tag about any policies that we need to be aware of, so we're not charged.  Manage boy just says that we need to have them back by a certain day, that is it. 

And of course they already have charged our cards three other times despite the fact that we turned in our movies on time just because the same nitwit that STILL works there "lost" them.  So yeah I vote bad service. 

But yeah took everyones advice and we're going to try Netflix so hopefully that works out.

Real Estate fail.

So, another suck from North Bay. I recently posted about crazy behaviour from a bus driver(which, by the way, was followed up by us writing to NB transit, and hand delivering the letter, but receiving NO response!).

Today is a real estate suck.

So I'm looking for an apartment/house with a girl in my program. We decided we want to live together, since we get along really well. Woo.

We put an ad on kijiji, the housing site that is most popular around here. The ad stated that we were two mature, clean, quiet female students looking to rent for a May 1st move-in. Simple, yes?

About a week after placing the ad, I received a call from a real estate agency with a house that perfectly met our requests(in a quiet neighbourhood, close to a bus route, no smoking). They told us we could come check the house out the next day.

We arrived, were taken to the house, and loved it. We told the woman touring us that we wanted to place an offer.

Up until now, everything is great. And it's ALL DOWNHILL from here.

TLDR: My friend and I are contacted by a real estate agency(for those who are curious: Stanley Cerisano Real Estate Ltd Brokerage) about a house to rent. We love it and make an offer. Manager of agency proves to be a royal asshole unwilling to cooperate with the interests of anyone but himself. Violates the verbal agreement we made by renting the house out from under our feet without informing(or making any attempt to contact) me, and then makes my friend and I out to be dishonest in an email to my mother.

On another note, today we dealt with a different agency, and they went above and beyond to not only show us one nice apartment, but to find us a BEAUTIFUL space in a historic house that they thought would better suit us and our needs. I am amazed at how different two agencies on the same street can be. When I asked if my mother would have to drive up to co-sign, they said she only needed to if she wanted to see the place for herself(and they were more then happy to see her on a weekend!), but that otherwise, fax was a perfectly fine way of doing things.

AT&T is annoying, if you have them you may already know that

att is really getting on my nerves. i have a couple of their services: the at home wierless and cell phone

the wireless is working pretty good except that i can't register to pay my bill online because i need some magic code that they'll send me in 7 to 10 days. that's annoying but the cellphone is a whole different animal.

My little brother just moved to my state and he's has needed me to help him (just a bit) while he acclimates to being in a new place. so i gladly put him on my cell plan. i enjoy a corporate rate so it was no big deal to cough up another 9.99 a month. That is until i got the first bill for $2100. that's right

I called asked why it happened and they said they don't know why it happened. we all have unlimited internet and data. so they had to write it off. it took them a week but they did it. now because my brother is popular and is going over on my minutes i upgraded a plan and got a discount because os the corporate tie in. Ysy! life is good right? wrong! just saw my bill $500. and they have no idea why...again.

it feels like whenever a chan ge is made, there is a reset or somebody doesn't click something...it's a pain.
