A Minor Suck

Okay... So, it's been two weeks since I started at university, and I'm already laid up with a nasty sore throat. I come home for the weekend, and mom takes me out to the local walk-in clinic. The receptionist takes my information, and sends me in to see the doctor.

The doctor comes in and asks me what my concern is. I reply, "A sore throat, it burns when I swallow and hurts here. *Indicates somewhat swollen glands on neck*" The doctor, who has been hovering near me with one of those little flashlights, tells me to say "ah." I do, and I swear, says, "Oh, it looks like you have a sore throat." I sorta looked at her, and she says, "I'll take a swab to make sure it's not strep."

She then wrote me a prescription and shooed me out the door. The whole visit took about thirty seconds at most.

My main concern, I guess, was that she just looked down my throat, and didn't take my temperature/listen to my chest/check my ears/etc. as all other doctors I've been to have.

Edited to add: As we were leaving, my mom commented that a lady had come in right behind us at 4:15 p.m., and had been turned away. The clinic was open from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. and there was nobody else waiting. Apparently, the doctor could choose when to stop accepting patients.
