So my wife dropped her cell phone in the tub the other day, and we needed to get a new one because it died.
I go to the Verizon store and explain. "My wife dropped her phone in the tub, and it got wet. So I need to buy a new one."
Robert The Verizon Guy says that we can't replace it because the warranty doesn't cover water damage.
"I understand that. But I still need to buy a new phone."
"Well, sir, she's eligible for a new phone in July. You can get one for free then."
"I know, but we can't wait until July. We need a new phone NOW. I'd like to buy this same model, if I may."
"Sorry, but like I said, we cannot replace the phone under warranty. Water damage voids it."
The dude wasn't getting it, so I asked for a manager. Why can't we buy a new phone if we accidentally ruin the old one?????
The manager was HAPPY to sell me a new phone, and he therefore got the commission. Too bad that "Robert" didn't. Thanks to the awesome manager, my wife has a phone again. (She'll be more careful with this one.) I am glad that he, at least, understands the importance of good customer service. I never did learn why Robert didn't want to sell us a new phone, but it doesn't matter now.
So....Monday I called my doctor's office and left a message on the prescription refill line about my upcoming pain pill refill.
Tuesday I get a call from my doctor's nurse. My doctor is out of town and won't be back until Thursday. Nurse knows I'm out of pills and asks if I will be ok. I tell her I should be fine, as long as he authorizes my refill first thing Thursday morning when he gets in. Nurse tells me no problem and she'll put my file on the top of the pile.
Thursday rolls around. I wait and wait and wait. I call my pharmacy to see if they've received authorization. Nope. I call the doctor's office. Receptionist checks, and nope, doctor hasn't gotten to it yet. (This is Thursday afternoon, btw.)
Thursday comes and goes, no pills. By that time, I'm hurting like hell. I'm having difficulty walking, standing, sitting...pretty much doing anything hurts.
So this morning, I call again. I get the same person I talked to yesterday. She apologizes and tells me he will definitely get to it today. I will have my refill by the time they close. Ok..no problem.
I wait a few hours and then I call my pharmacy to see if they have my refill. Nope. Nothing yet.
By this time, I've had it. I helped my parents move today. I can't stand up straight. I can't walk. I'm almost in tears.
I call the doctor's office again. I get someone different this time. I explain the situation and tell her how I'm 3 days over due, the whole situation on how I can't even move blah blah blah.
Her response? He's not going to get to it today.
Well then why the fuck have his nurses told me that I was going to have my meds by now?!? She got pissed off and told me that I just need to quit calling and take it easy, he'll get to it when he gets to it.
Ex-fucking-scuse me?!? I'm at my breaking point and she tells me to take it easy!?!
ARG! Hopefully they will be open tomorrow for their normal Saturday hours. I'm going to call and they better get me my meds or I'm going to raise some serious hell.
