Dear FedEx,
You suck.
There is NO WAY you attempted to deliver yesterday at 5:30pm because we were both home and standing in the kitchen which is next to the front door. The doorbell did not ring. The dog did not go apeshit at the sound of the doorbell.
There is NO WAY you attempted to deliver a package, as your door tag indicates, at 10:23am this morning because I was right next to the door - watching tv in the living room. Again, the doorbell did not ring. The dog did not go apeshit at the sound of the doorbell. (Gotta love that open floor plan.)
I killed a day waiting for your arrival. Now I have to kill yet another day waiting for you. It doesn't help that you say I can pick the package up at 5:55pm when you close at 6pm. And, with no local phone number, there is no way I can ask you to just leave it at your facility so I can pick it up.
EDITED TO ADD: Thank you to geek domestic! I just called the 800 number, said "Agent" and found myself talking to one of themost hellpful and upbead people I've ever talked to. Thankfully, she was able to make a not to let them know I'll pick it up in stead of waiting around all day.
