(no subject)

soo, i went to walmart today
i had a bag of coconut creme hershey kisses and 2 glass plates. its pretty busy there so i see the express lane, and theres only 2 people in line. all happy now, i head over and stand in line.
and stand in line...
and stand in line...
there was a man at the 1 express counter in the entire walmart (10 items or less) buying 50 $25 dollar gift cards... $1250 of gift cards
as they have to scan and authorize all the gift cards, it takes forever, and then theres a problem with the check or something.
after 20 minutes of waiting, i give up and get in a line with 10 people in front of me, 5 of which had pretty full carts. 10 minutes later, i walk out of walmart with my 2 plates and hershey kisses, and the man with the gift cards is still at the express lane

Not too bad of service, but still.

A couple weeks ago I had a problem with my insulin pump. To keep it short (on my end) http://rrandomkkarma.livejournal.com/25027.html

So anyways, when I called the company, they said I missed the dead line by 45 minutes to ship out my pump so I'd have it next day. My gripe is Medtronic is a medical company you would think they would set it up as there is a shipment in the morning and one in the afternoon. And, while I didn't mind (too bad) going back to shots for two days, others wouldn't be too happy.. And according to the nurse I had to call, this happens a lot, like 10+ times a week.

I also would like to note that not everyone is on a "normal" sleeping pattern, I happen to be one of them (I go to bed at 4am and wake up at 1pm).

UPS error or JC Penneys error

I ordered something online from JC Penneys with a gift card.
The e-mail I got giving me all my info on my order from jc penneys was correct. But when the day that it was suppose to be here came and went no package,no e-mail telling me that the info they(UPS) got was wrong,no phone call. So my packages was in limbo at a drop off department in Austin when I live in San Antonio.

I went to the JC Penneys website and everything was correct(thinking I might have put in something wrong). Then I went to the UPS website which told me that there was something wrong with the address. Ok no problem trying to fix this problem turned into a bigger problem.
I had to call customer service and get it fixed.
The problem was they(JC Penneys) left out my apartment number.

My husband and I go to a local bar once or twice a week. We know the staff well enough for "hello's," but are only on a first name basis with a few of them.

Yesterday, we stopped in for a beer. My husband requested a menu, and when the bartender handed it to him, he spilled my entire beer all over my pants/ shirt. I jumped up and stood there holding my now-see-through white shirt away from my tits so I didnt give the crowd a peep show. The bartender said, "Nice save."

Then he cleaned the bartop and threw one cocktail napkin in my direction. He put a new beer in front of me and walked away.

I was still standing there holding my shirt.

No apology. No free beer. No remorse. I think he might have been drunk?

And I know what you are all thinking, "why didnt you raise hell?" The answer is, I didnt want to look like a prick in a place that I go all the time. It was one of those situations where he was the asshole, but me raising a stink about it would have made me look like the asshole. The owner is always flirting with me, so I thought about telling him what happened, but then I considered that I would be the bitch who got the bartender in trouble.
