I know it's stated in the contract (which I'm no longer going to sign up for) but saying they can randomly take money out of my account without warning, reason, or an explaination really pisses me off. So far, I've had $10 of service fees taken out of my savings account and I haven't had time to go in and ask them why yet, but I have free student checking and my account has been happy for a year now, but all of a sudden I get these charges. I think banks take far too much liberty with what they put into contracts.
I went to the doctor on Tuesday and she said she would call a prescription in for me and I could pick it up in 24-48 hours. I said ok-and couldnt get to the pharmacy until today at about 10. No call, no voicemail. They said this specific doctor hasnt even called the pharmacy in a long time. Obviously they cannot fill my prescription. I call the doctor's office and go through an hour and a half of being hung up on, transferred, people acting like Im crazy, etc... until finally a receptionist tells me that I need to speak to my doctor's head nurse-I get voicemail and leave a message with my information and explaining what happened. At the end, it says please wait 72 hours for us to get your message. 72 hours?!?! Now I am concerned that I wont get my prescription in time and I will run out :( Before anyone jumps in shrieking that I shouldnt let it get down to the wire, I have enough for a week more starting today. But I am thinking...if they dont even get that message Monday or Tuesday...and then another few days to call it in/get it filled...or if I need to do something else next week (Now Im assuming they are all incompetent boobs and I will have to rattle the chains to get anything done)...its within the realm of possibility that I may not by next Friday. Is there anything I can do? I want a REAL person, but they keep on saying I have to go through the head nurse and she only has a voicemail-I cant even get through to my doctor! The office is located a good 45 minutes away so I dont really want to go back...but will I have to? Or should I just wait and see if its finally called in...or call back on Monday...
Oddly enough, this is my anxiety/depression/panic medicine and this entire situation is making it even worse-and the fact that Im going home this weekend and my parents will comment on my lack of a future and how Ive gained weight and I will get suicidal especially thinking about coming back on Monday and going through another hour and a half of talking to rude idiots when trying to accomplish something that sounds, to me, relatively simple. You said you would call my prescription in. Call it in. Didnt do it? Do it now. Seriously, this is what doctor's DO!

I decide that I am starving and REALLY want some orange juice. So. I stop at Burger King right by my house. I go through the drive through... wait 7 minutes to even get to the speaker (2 cars infront of me) and then order my breakfast. Sausage, egg and cheese Croissan'which and an orange juice with a large cup of ice. The rude lady in the box says back that I can get a small up of ice. I say.. fine as long as it will fit the juice. I really like my OJ cut with ice to water it down and make it really cold. She says something I cant understand and then asks me to repeat my order. I repeat it and drive up to the window. She takes my money and then hands me my sandwhich and then the OJ carton and then a small cup. I ask if its possible to get a medium cup with ice in it. She then gives me some lecture about how I am not even supposed to be getting a small cup as their cups of ice are usually done in kids cups. I am like.. OK.. I just want a cup that I can drink my OJ out of. She goes off about how I will have to pay for the larger cup. (Mind you I am still at the window with a line of cars behind me) I say.. FINE.. I will pay. How much is it. She goes off to tell me that she has to pay for the cups and that she cant give me a larger cup. I am like.. I WILL PAY FOR THE CUP. I just want to drink my OJ cold. She says fine and then looks at me... How much is the cup? Oh.. 20 or 40 cents. FINE... I give her a quarter and ask for her name and the name of her boss. She tells me that she doesnt have to give me her name and she IS the manager. I ask her the name of the GM and she says she is the GM. I ask again for her name and she doesnt tell me. I finally say.. fine. I will contact the regional manager, can I please have my cup of ice so I can leave and you can serve the line of cars behind me? I dont appreciate having you yell and give me attitude about a 20 cent cup of ice while you waste my time and the time of these people behind me in the drive thru. She yells that she doesnt have an attitude. I take my cup of ice from her and then drive off on my way. Fuck you clown shoes.
I get down the road and realize that on the ticket there is a phone number for the store. I call that number and ask the woman who answers (NOT the same woman) for the name of the GM. She goes, "Oh.. you must be the lady that just left the drive thru." I was like "Yep". She told me the managers name was (edit).. and spelled it out for me. I called the toll free number on the receipt and got a survey. BOY did I let them have it. I will be calling and getting the regionals information later today. NO one should be treated like that over a cup of ice. Its not like I wanted the cup for free. I was willing to pay the 20 cents and she STILL argued with me about it.

Recently my grandparents purchased a 5 lb. package of sugar at Albertson's supermarket. My grandmother did a ton of baking with the sugar, only to discover that the sugar tasted strangely like salt. SHe had to throw out a good $50 of food because it was ruined. We saved most of the products and whatever was unused from the sugar as evidence. Do we have any remedy?
Last night my husband went to WalMart to get his oil changed as it was the only place still open after he got off work. Normally he changes it himself, but he just hasn't had time lately.
They inform him that they're a bit backed up so it might take awhile. My husband was fine with this.
He gives them his car and then proceeds to do his Easter shopping (my husband is responsible for the Easter bunny in our house). He waits for about an hour, pays for his stuff and then heads back over to the automotive department. He sits there for about 15 minutes and sees his car finally in the dock ready to be serviced. One of the guys takes a look at it and waves the car back out. He comes in to my husband to tell him that they can't change his oil because they have run out of the oil filter necessary for his car.
He then tells him that he doesn't know why they didn't figure that out in the beginning because they've been out of that oil filter for 2 days.
My husband asks him if they can change his oil if he provides the filter. He was leaving for Ohio this morning with our youngest child in tow and he likes to make sure the car is fully serviced before a long drive. The guys tell him that won't be a problem.
So, he heads out to Autozone and buy's the $5 oil filter he needs. Brings it back and is put at the back of the line again. Another hour or so later his car is finally done. Now you would think they would knock off the price of the filter at least. Or something for wasting his time the first time around.
Yeah, they knocked it off a $1. Their argument was that $1 is all the filter they usually use costs. (If that's so there is no way we're bringing the car BACK there for an oil change.)
Three hours later, he was finally out of WalMart.
Okay, so it's not terrible service but annoying service. It still kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
i was in the area and decided to stop by. a very nice girl named Lisa paged for a manager and i talked to a management chick named Ashley. she was very helpful as i described the situation and also mentioned the very helpful Mark. she was highly displeased at what LG and BE had done and promised she would find out who they were and give them a good talking-to, and that it was not Home Depot policy to behave like that towards a customer.
i also mentioned Mark and his extreme help and that he really deserved some kind of kudos, and she said she would see to that too.
so here's hoping the bitches get properly busted and Mark gets a gold star!
This qualifies for bad service, but I wasn't really bothered by it. In fact, I was trying not to laugh, because it was so bad that it was funny. Even though I'm not upset or unhappy, I thought I'd share it with you.
I just called in a to-go order at our local Azteca Mexican Restaurant. I order out from them frequently, so I'm old hat at delivering my order clearly. Unfortunately, sometimes their employees aren't very good on the phone or struggle with the register, and things get muddled. Since this too is pretty frequent, I'm used to it and handle it patiently. ^_^ This is probably the worst it's ever been.

I got my (crappy) xrays from the old dentist for $25. I went in and met my new dentist yesterday. He reminds me very much of the dentist I used to have back home. It's a very wonderful thing. Anyway, long story short- he commented on the crappy quality of the xrays from the other office. He also commented about my weird baby tooth that I still have and the fact that I only have 2 wisdom teeth. He also told me I need to wear my retainer more often, but I already knew that. I go in on monday to get my cavity filled. He said it's so small that it'll be no problem to use the laser rather than a traditional drill. I'm really happy about that. I hate shots and was dreading needing local anesthetic. The super nice front office lady at the new office scheduled me in with their best hygenist so that I can get a really good cleaning. I was supposed to get a cleaning in March, and I won't actually get it until May 2nd, but I'm happy to wait since I'll be getting so much better service.
Thanks for all the comments and help on the last post. It pretty much seems that the whole dental community here in town knows about what's going on at the old office, but there isn't really anything that can be done about it.
