yargh

The headline is a no-brainer, but read further:
"Before Dominique Corbie was told to officially leave, notices and e-mails were sent to her and Billee Corbie. Dominique Corbie returned to live with her mother in Brooklyn, N.Y."

"Throughout this process, Dominique Corbie said the college was impersonal, and no one from the college came to speak to her directly."

I think getting kicked out of school deserves a little face-to-face time.

Bad service makes me a sad panda

So, I like to take dance classes once a week, because i get bored. I'm usually the oldest in the class, since i'm a college student, and usually in these studios they're all local girls. Well, I was taking an adult hip hop class, stress on the adult. The age range of this class is about 17 -23 (23 being me). I loved this class, totally loved it. But, there were only 4 people in it... so the woman who owns the studio (Not the instuctor of my class) decided it wasn't worth the studio space, so she merged it with the other hip hop class. The other hip hop class is girls ages 11-15. Now maybe it's just me, but I think it's rather akward to put a 6 foot tall 23 year old in a class with a 5 foot tall 11 year old.
To me, this is bad service in many ways, especially since the new class is on a night when I have class and can't go, and now I am out $40 for the month, since I went to some of my classes this month.

i just sent a very long and irate email to Cingular. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to complain to a business, but I feel downright cheated.

Has anyone dealt with Cingular before and have an idea what I can expect? I really don't want to keep hounding them about this forever, but I am not going to pay them for phones that we didn't need and that don't work. Anyone know if this "have to buy new phones if you want less minutes" thing is a scam? It seems totally ridiculous to me. What on earth does the phone have to do with the number of minutes you are paying for? It's not at if you can't buy the same phone for whatever rate plan you like.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I paid the $55.99 for my service this month, but I am absolutly not going to pay them the $232 they want for the phones until they settle this.

I heard on 102.1 here in FTW today that some concert was cancelled but there would be no refunds. They were going to give all of the ticket sales to a local charity. WTF? They didn't give anyone the choice to decide if they wanted to donate or to get their money back. I don't understand, maybe someone can explain?
