(no subject)

I was in 7-11, getting a slurpee, stamps and bus tickets... The lady behind the counter, is talking to the kids behind me about having nails done... She doesn't even acknowledge my existance, knocks over my brother's pop and slops some of my slurpee... Whatever, I just worked a 9 hour, so I'll bite my tongue cause I'm too tired to fight... She quickly tells me my total, and then goes back to talking to these kids... I stand there until she snaps, "I SAID it was $4 blah blah blah..." I inform her, that I wasn't finished, to which she snottily replied, there's nothing else on the counter... I tell her I want a thing of stamps and a package of youth bus tickets... She looks at me in this way and in a very condescending tone goes, "ADULT bus tickets..." "I SAID YOUTH bus tickets..." She scanned them, threw them at me, threw my card at me, and went back to talking to the kids... She didn't even ask if I wanted a bag... Normally, they have such good service up there...

Hooray for rudeness

I went to visit my boyfriend recently, and I had to buy a Greyhound ticket to get home. Due to trying to do too many things beforehand, we got to the bus station at about 3:50, and the bus was supposed to leave at 4. The guy behind the counter was really slow, and the people in line in front of us were morons, so I finally got to the counter at about 3:57. Asked if I'd missed the bus. 'No, it doesn't leave until 4, no matter what.' The guy was slow processing my ticket as well, at which point I worried aloud to my boyfriend about whether I was going to make it or not (as it's about 3:59 by this point and the bus could conceivably leave in another minute). The guy said in a really snippy tone "You can panic as much as you want to, the bus isn't going to leave until 4." Thanks a heap. And I did make the bus, but no thanks to him being largely incompetent.

But then, Greyhound generally gets on my nerves. They have so little competition that they have gotten sloppy.
