My mom sent a package via FedEx a few days ago, it was imparitive she have a signature so that incase a court case came up out of "not receiving the letter" that she had proof that it had been sent and arrived.

Well, she called up FedEx and asked them to fax her the signature. They faxed something, but it was blank. They did it twice, when she called again. Well, there were headers, and etc but no signature.

So then she calls ask explains the situation and asks, "what's going on?" They have to go through all these menus to find the signature. Then they say they can't find it. Then they say it's not a mandatory procedure to ask for signatures.

My mom explains that she requested and paid for the service of the signature. They should find it. The guy says he'll call her back Tuesday with the information.

Thursday rolls around and mom calls FedEx again, she has his name so she knows who to ask for. She says, "You were supposed to call Tuesday and now it's Thursday. What is happening with the situation with the signature?" The guy says there was no signature, it didn't need one. Even if he could find one he doubted if they could mail her a copy. She says again, "I paid for the service and requested it, there better be a signature. I need a signature incase this goes to court!"

The guy starts snickering on the phone.

My mom says, "You think this is funny?"

Guy says, through snickering, "No."

Mom says, "I'd like to speak to a supervisor please."

Guy says, "I AM the supervisor."

Mom says, "Really? You sure don't act like one. Who do you report to?"

Guy says, "There is noone else! I am the supervisor!"

Mom says, "SURELY there's someone who hired you."

Guy says, "You mean the president?"

Mom says, "Sure, if that's the only person above you!"

Guy goes silent.

Mom says, "What's your name? Full name."

Guy reluctantly gives her his name.

Mom hangs up and calls the president. She gets his secretary and explains she'd like to speak the president. Secretary asks what it's about. Mom explains. Secretary is silent and then says, "Don't worry. I'll be calling his manager right away. You'll hear back from someone before the end of the day."

Within an HOUR, she gets a call back from the asshat guy saying they found the signature and it will arrive by noon tomorrow. And thus it did, five minutes to, on last Friday. Thought I'd share with you a bad service experience with a side of justice.

It really bothers me when people get on these fucking power trips. Obviously there was someone higher than him that wasn't the president because he got reamed out by his manager!
