Pizza Delivery

I always try to tip nicely. It's a big thing for me--I worked in the food industry, and I know it sucks not being treated with respect. Well today I ordered a pizza from a local pizza joint I've been ordering from for years. They're great, if a bit pricey. The total came to $17-something for a medium pizza. The delivery man got here and I reached in my wallet, then realized I only had a $100 and a $20. Usually I tip 20%, but today I only had a $20 so I gave it to him and told him to keep the change (it was around $2.50).

He looks at me angrily, shoves me my food, and says, "Thanks so much." I'm a little upset because I've ordered here for years, tipped this same guy sometimes as much as 30% on something, but I don't say anything; I was going to let it slide. Then he walks away at first, but as he's walking down the hall, he turns to me and says, "Fucking entitled bitch" and starts ranting in Italian as he storms off, purposely thudding every step with a loud STOMP.

Really floored here, because I know it was only a $2.50 tip, but...

Especially when I've probably gotten 20-30 pizzas from this guy over the years, and always tipped more than I should.
