I am a member of the my collegiate music educator's group. Throughout the year, we do lots of special activities and fundraisers for the group to be able to go to clinics, concerts, etc. One of these things includes selling concessions at the high school solo/ensemble contests (held at our college). We sell chips, candy, pop, water, pop tarts, and pizza. This experience is from when we ordered Domino's for last Friday's contest. They weren't really jerks to us, but it was still a big hassle.
Our secretary ordered 3 cheese, 3 pepperoni, and 3 sausage. We had a feeling we needed to order more, so we made plans for that. When the delivery girl came, we checked all the pizzas, and we had received 3 sausage, 3 pepperoni, and 1 cheese, in addition to a sauce pizza. Plain sauce. No toppings. We called them to complain, and to order more pizzas. They agreed to give us two free ones in addition to our new order.
Next order comes: 2 free cheeses, 3 pepperoni, and a steak pizza. Yes. Steak. We were baffled, but decided to sell it anyway. (Luckily, it was a hit!) We still needed to order more pizza, and realized they overcharged us, as well as giving us the wrong pizzas. We complained again, and they gave us 2 more free pizzas, and our third order.
Third order comes. Delivery guy tries to charge us $15 more than we were told on the phone. We made the guy call Domino's and in the end, we got the price we were told. He apologizes for all the mix-ups.
At the end of the night, our music department chair tells us we should not order from there again, and we agreed with him. :) Luckily, one of my friends is a manager for Papa John's, so we'll probably try there next. :) It's funny now, but at the time it really made us stressed out.
