Long time lurker, 1st time poster...

I am going to SCSU (Southern CT State University). I am moving in to live on campus in 22 days. The student ID card serves as a debit card for local businesses and can be used to buy food & stuff on campus. You can put up to $350 on it. First, we hadn't filled out the health insurance waiver at the time, and they removed the money from the card to pay for the insurance without us knowing about it. Then I dropped Bio from my schedule for English and they credited us back a $35 lab fee (this comes into play later). We fill out the waiver, get that money put on the card ($219).

I went there with my mother on friday to get the picture taken for the ID. While the ID is printing, my mother went to get the $35 added onto the card so I would have $254. They switched the amounts! Now I have $35 to last the semester and $219 credited back on my mother's MasterCard. Needless to say my mother is on the phone with them right now. And what have I learned from this expreience: Addition is not in high demand anymore. They should have a special inservice devoted to relearning 1st grade math. *sighs*
