Damn you, UPS! Damn you!
I had bought a t-shirt from threadless.com as well as a DVD boxset from Amazon. They were both slated to come the same day, which was today. Well, today was a day full of biblical proportions of rain. Before I went to work, I alerted my father that I was expecting boxes, and to check the door if the doorbell rang. I didn't want a t-shirt or DVD set sitting out in the rain.
I come home at 10pm and my father says no one came to deliver packages. Fair enough, I think, delivery dates are often just ballpack figures. Just to be safe, I open the front door and check outside.
And there are my two soaking wet packages, sitting in a corner on a step.
ARRRRG, MOTHERFUCKER! ::leaps up and down in a rage:: It was raining all fucking day! My father was home all day and said no one rang the doorbell. I checked online and both packages were delivered around 2pm, which means they sat out in the rain for EIGHT HOURS!
Why do they fucking do this? Ring the goddamn doorbell, that's what it's there for! Don't just leave boxes, CARDBOARD BOXES, sitting outside in the fucking rain!
Thankfully, Amazon wraps their stuff in plastic and the t-shirt was in plastic as well, so there's no harm done. I'm just completely enraged though. What if they hadn't been wrapped in plastic?
