They forgot to deliver a part of my order this week. Not exactly an earth-shattering thing, I called and emailed to let them know of the problem. I'm certain it just happens sometimes. Life goes on. Two phone calls, three emails, and 48 hours later, not so much as a peep from the office, not even an acknowledgement that they received said emails/voicemails.
So why is this worthy of a post here?
What really just sticks in my head is an incident not very long ago, where I forgot to update the debit card on file for my account. They were annoyingly persistent in reaching me to get it corrected that day. I guess it just really bothers me that when I didn't live up to my end of the bargain, they considered any delay in my response unacceptable, but now that the tables have turned I can't get them to raise an eyebrow in my direction.
I hate to say it, but at least when Safeway (large American grocery store chain) delivery screws up -- and that's very rare -- they acknowledge and correct that problem. So much for smaller = better service.
Okay, rant done.
