The picture says it all...

This happened at the beginning of the summer, but the other post about grooming made me think of it and it still pisses me off.

She (Pebby) was supposed to have her heavy coat shaved for the summer (we live in the south). As you can see, the parts that they actually shaved are uneven, some all the way to the skin. And then the groomer stopped, because apparently the dog growled at her. Now, I've worked at a kennel. It is a fact of life that when you work around dogs, you get growled at, and if you're that scared, you muzzle them. Which is what every other professional in my dog's life does, and what I TOLD the groomer she was going to have to do to be on the safe side. Not that Peb has ever bitten any one, or even snapped, the muzzle is just an intelligent precaution on a big, strong dog who growls whenever any tools are used on her body (I think its a bad association from shots at the vet).
The point is, none of this is something that should have to be explained to some one who advertises themselves as an experienced groomer (yes, even at Petco).
The really special part was that she expected to be paid her full fee for this work of art.
Not intentional bad service, but still an impressive display of incompetence.
(done ranting now)

ETA: Since so many people asked in the comments, no she didn't get paid for this dog, my other dog was just a bath and wash though, and I paid her for that.
