Okay, so today I headed out to the nearest Dodge dealer to my house to get photos of the brand-new 2005 Dodge Magnum (which I KNEW they had one of since I saw it the other day). I was expecting an extremely hard sell for the car, but was pleasantly surprised. The salesman (whose name was George) was extremely friendly, and opened up the car for me to take as many photos as I wanted, climb into and out of, basically play around with. Unfortunately I couldn't take it out for a drive because the car's official launch isn't until June 17, but that's understandable. George knew all about the car--powertrain, features, suspension, everything--but I seemed to know more than he did (since I've been following the car for the last couple years this isn't really shocking). I got a brochure from him and information that they'd have some of the lower-level models in on Friday, and would I like to come take a look? Of course I agreed (the model they had for display was, of course, a top-of-the-line model that broke the $30,000 mark).
So I just wanted to say I was really impressed with the way they handled me there, even though they knew they couldn't make a sale. If you're in the ABQ area and looking for a new car, definitely swing by Melloy Dodge on the west side near Cottonwood Mall. If they treat you like they treated me, it'll be a very pleasant experience.
