Mild suck.



On Saturday, June 23rd, I won some [144] party poppers off of Ebay. I paid for the lot the same day. On the 27th, the payment went through Paypal. The same day, the seller emails me and tells me that he is in the hospital with pancreatitis and that he will not be able to ship the product until the 29th at the earliest. He tells me that once he ships the product, I will get a confirmation email from UPS. Note, that is UPS not USPS. I email him and ask him to expedite shipping. I explain that I need these poppers for a party [specifically, a wedding party]. I get no response from him.

Now, it's been two weeks and I have not recieved any confirmation or any package. I'll admit it might be my fault that I didn't notice this until now but I'm in the middle of moving and starting a new job, so I haven't really been thinking about party poppers.

I email him again telling him that I never got any confirmation, no package, nothing. He sends me back a snotty email telling me that I won't get UPS information because I didn't pay for UPS. He says I paid for USPS parcel service which is slow and that is why I haven't gotten my package yet. I remind him he said I would get confirmation of shipping and I never got it.

He sends me yet another snotty email telling me if I wanted fast shipping, I should have paid for it. I remind him I asked him to upgrade shipping and that he never responded. If he wanted me to pay for upgraded shipping, he should have emailed me back and said he would upgrade shipping if I paid for it. But he didn't. I say that I think it's a little ridiculous that I've had to wait two weeks for some party poppers. And his attitude is very unprofessional. I ask him if I can just get my money back because I'd rather deal with someone else. He emails apologizing, basically with his tail between his legs telling me he's really sorry. But he says again, parcel post is slow and it's not his fault he was in the hospital and that the package will arrive by Friday. Well, it's Tuesday.

The thing is, I bought two other things that were paid for and cleared on the same day. Both other sellers sent my packages USPS. Both of them are already here. They both got here within a week. They are both further away in location than this guy.

I'm pretty much just irritated by this point and want my money back. Especially after I ask him for tracking info and he proceeds to send me 6, count em, 6 emails in a row with "tracking info" that says it is being sent UPS. What. The. Fuck.
