I'm writing a letter but I need help.

1. Does anyone have contact info for Walmart's corporate offices, other than a customer service address in AR?

2. How do I find out who the Fire Marshall/Fire Warden is? I found info about what s/he does online, but not WHO it is.

3. How can I edit this so that it works better:

Dear Mr. Coon:

I am writing in regards to a recent visit to your store on Saturday, April 3rd at around noon. I have a couple of concerns following my visit.

It was a very busy day and checkout was difficult. I was there with my partner and his two small children. We walked through the store and ended up purchasing three items. When we went to checkout, it was unbelievable how many people had the same exact idea. Since we only had three items, we headed back to the electronics department, knowing that they also had a cash register and could check people out. After waiting approximately 10 minutes in line, we were told that we could not check out at that counter unless we had purchased an item from the electronics department and had less than ten items. Since we wanted only the three items that we had, we headed for the jewelry department. At the jewelry department, we again waited approximately ten minutes and finally were able to check out. My partner attempted to pay with his VISA debit card and was informed that it had to be run through as a debit and could not be rung through as a credit. The cashier pointed to your posted memo regarding MasterCard. We tried to point out that your new policy applies to MasterCard only, and not Visa, but due the numerous people waiting in line behind us, gave up and just entered a PIN.

This brings me to my second concern. We made our way to the front of the store on our way to leave. Since we had already checked out, we were merely trying to get through to the door, but were unable to do so. There were so many carts and people filling the front of the store that there was absolutely no way for us to leave the store. It was “bumper to bumper” if you will, and not even a single person walking through the crowd would have had enough space to pass. We ended up walking through the women’s clothes towards the entrance of the store and still had difficulty getting to an exit. As we were maneuvering our way out of the store, the only thing I could think about was what if a fire started while we were in the store. There would be no way to escape.

While I’d like you to address the slow checkout times, I am much more concerned with the crowding and inability to move/exit the building. It is unrealistic for it to take 10-15 minutes just to exit the store after checking out. In the event of an emergency in your store, I am not confident that everyone would have made it out unharmed.
