I honestly didn't think that "Do you think the apartment will still be available for June 1st?" was that horrible a question to ask. Apparently, I was wrong.
Either that, or you're a complete bitch. Why you felt the need to go off on me, I have no idea. I was perfectly polite to you, even a little apologetic, and you had an attitude from the start. But when I asked you if the place would be open in a mere 29 days, you completely flipped your shit.
You called me a waste of time, and demanded to know why "you people" call when we can't rent the apartment RIGHT AWAY.
Completely and totally uncalled for. A simple "no" would have sufficed.
I've never rented an apartment before, or even called about one. I have no idea when you're supposed to call about places - is 29 days ahead too far in advance? I need to have a place secured for the first of June, so I thought that calling earlier would be better than putting it off.
I guess not.
Any advice from the slightly older and so much wiser members here? I don't think I was in the wrong, but I will gladly admit defeat and suckitude if I was.
But being stressed out from finals and needing to find a place to live in a month, she made me cry.
