This is not so much bad-service as it is a question about what to do. My sister was mailing me a package via UPS Priority Overnight (gets there the next day at 10:30 am) but her son mistakenly dropped it in the Fed-Ex drop box. The boxes are side by side, Fed-Ex and UPS. The package was dropped at 5:15 am, Fed-Ex's pick up time was at 5:30 and UPS's at 6:00pm. She called Fed-Ex and they assured her that the driver would try to scan the box on-site (meaning in front of the drop box not at the Fed-Ex location) and when he realized that the box belonged to UPS he would put it in their drop-box. It's 3:00 pm and no sign of my package. The tracking number shows "No info" by UPS and I called Fed-Ex and they just keep repeating that the driver would've put it in the UPS box. UPS won't start a trace until the next day and this package was being delivered to my job. As luck would have it today is my last day and I would like to not have to come back for my package. Does anyone have any suggestions? Who I can speak to at Fed-Ex so that they can make sure that my package was actually put in the UPS box and that this is an error on UPS's part? Seems very fishy that the package was put in Fed-Ex's drop box and now mysteriously was not delivered. I know packages are lost all the time but y'know, what are the odds that it has nothing to do with it being in the Fed-Ex box?
