JoAnn's Suck

Went to JoAnn's today, to get 2 cuts of fabric and some embroidery thread for my machine, armed (as always) with my 40% off coupon. The kids were being extra-rambunctious, so I was trying to get done as fast as I could and get out of there, and was pleased to see that, though the store was busy, there were actually more than two employees on the floor!

So I grab my fabric as quickly as possible, and get to the cutting counter, where there are two customers ahead of me, and TWO employees cutting fabric! This will be a breeze, sez I! The one cutter finishes with the customer ahead of me, and with a sigh, reaches for my fabric.Pause....(to other cutter) "Where's Rita?" Unfold another yard of fabric. Crane neck,. looking for Rita, who is apparently up front getting her apron. Pick up phone, page Rita. Sigh heavily, unfold another yard. By the time she unfolds the last of the six yards I wanted, Rita has arrived and they discuss that Rita is supposed to be on fabric cutting, not register, and the first cutter is trying to get to lunch. So the first cutter shoves my fabric in  wad toward Rita, and huffs off. I tell Rita how much I need, and she idly flaps it around for a minute, while chatting with another employee who followed her back. The kids are rapidly reaching Customer Suck stage so I interrupt and say politely (through my teeth) "Could you cut my fabric please?" Rita stops chatting, glares at me, and says snidely "I was straightening it out so I COULD cut it. PLEASE". She cuts it, I tell her how much I need of the second fabric, she prints my sales slip, shoves it at me without a word, and stomps away. (Up to the register to tell the cashier what a sucky customer I am.) I went and found the two other items I needed and headed up for the register, just in time to see her give a dirty look and stomp off. I handed my purchases to the cashier and said "I was getting an attitude at the cutting counter, and forgot to get my coupon taken off, could you do it please?". Smiling, polite, friendly.
What Rita doesn't know is that I used to work at this store, I know how to straighten and cut fabric, and I know that when I call the manager tomorrow, Rita is going to get a talking to. I've never seen her before--and I've never been treated so rudely in that store before.
