At this point, I'd be ecstatic to get any service at all.

My front porch roof leaks when it rains. It's not a huge leak (not yet). But I'd like to get it fixed before winter gets here (I live in SW Pennsylvania, and we get quite a bit of winter here).

I have called three different roofers in the last two weeks. Only one of them has called back. He said he'd try to come by last Saturday, and if not Saturday, then he'd definitely come on Tuesday.

He didn't show up on Saturday. He didn't show up on Tuesday. He hasn't called, and he has my home phone number and my cell number.

I called his number on Thursday, explained to the receptionist/secretary/assistant/whatever that I was extremely unhappy that this guy had not shown up or called, but I was willing to give him another chance if he'd just call and set a time and actually show up.

He hasn't called. Neither of the other two roofers has called at all, and I chose all three because they were Better Business Bureau accredited. I'm not going to pay a fee to join Angie's list, before anyone suggests it, and there is a fee in my area.

I don't understand what the problem is. I can't pay someone for services rendered if they won't even call me back to set up the service in the first place. How do they stay in business?
